I do! Now what...

Weddings can be fancinating and frustrating depending on who you’re speaking with!
After an engagement most people become inundated with numerous questions that they have NO idea how to answer or even where to start. I say:

Start by just enjoying the moment!!๐ŸŽ‰ Make that moment matter by extending it if you have to. Plan a staycation or travel off for a fun day-trip or weekend getaway with your fiancรฉ!
After enjoying the MOMENT (day/weekend/month), grab a cocktail or two then decide your type of wedding (small or large, romantic or rustic, sit down or buffet, wine, mixed drinks, or both, DJ or band, or both, etc) from there it’ll begin to come together. The point is to enjoy your fiancรฉ first and the moment that essentially is singlehandedly one of the biggest decisions of your entire life. Joining two families together!

Riddle Me This

No you’re easy. Effortless. No one has to court you or compliment you or even lie to you they simply call and you answer. Doesn’t matter the day or time you’re available for them to have their way and they don’t have to be connected or concerned for your feelings since you’re only a text, dm, or dial a (roach) away.
Desperate at the mere think that what you have is real outside of the two of you. Good thing you’re not paid to think.
No substance.
No soul.
No morals.
No dignity.
No fulfillment.
Just lust.
Just sin.
Just destruction.
Just a sunken place.
Just detriment.
Continue enjoying that. That’s all the satisfaction you get in this life and the after...

Perception

Some people have a perception of you and they’ll try and use it against you. To categorize you or to label you because they have insecurities in getting to know you by simply asking you a question or communicating effectively with you. That, I’ve learned, is not your concern! In my opinion; it’s entertaining to hear or see it play out (sometimes) but don’t allow what others perceive of you to weigh in on your psyche. Let God handle them...He does it much better!

Savage or Salvage

In other news this pandemic has been life altering and downright savage but through the fire, smoke and ashes comes some sense of renewed strength. Thinking of how schools are ending, I’m enjoying the virtual graduations, end of the year award programs, and fair well videos. This should be kept up. In my 15ish years of education this is the first time I have been able to attend a graduation of my past students and it was delightful!
Not saying stop traditional forms of entertainment and recognition but the renewal or revamping of it is most definitely required and deserved. It’s another form of historical reference leaving a digital footprint for memories and years to follow. Families are spending more time together and redesigning what home entertainment looks like. Health and wellness have been more traditionalized from those that at one time couldn’t find the time to get exercise or good eating in.  I’ve been seeing some good things come from this wretched pandemic so I hope it sticks as we move forward with rebuilding, rebranding, reenergizing our economy and lifestyles.

Married...with Food (Meal Three)

Omg!
I made my very first ever shrimp and sausage gumbo! My husband came home with colossal-sized shrimp, and so much of them I had no choice but to fry, sautรฉ, grill, bake, broil, turn them into shrimp salsa and finally gumbo! Okay, okay; I’m exaggerating about everything but the shrimp salsa, sautรฉ, and gumbo! I payed homage to Forest’s best friend, Bubba. Surprisingly gumbo doesn’t take long, but the thing I hate most about preparing mostly all meat, especially seafood, especially shrimp, is peeling, cleaning, and de-veining them! It’s yuck! And on colossal-sized shrimp the yuck is magnified ๐ŸคขAlbeit a daunting task; I did it, added all the other ingredients, browned my homemade rue, even added non-slimed okra, and it has been really, really good! My mom still wears the crown, but I come in a nice and solid second!

Power 610

I can’t stand Cooper Saxe or, Blanca Rodriguez. Leave well enough alone. And not only that; they stay coercing criminals into lying on other criminals๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♀️
Jamie wants out, wants better, has ALWAYS wanted better! Why can’t he have it? (I’ll leave it there) I get in the real world what goes around comes around. Eye for an eye. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
Tommy did choose the life that ends with nothing, so why is he upset. He and Pas bought confessed they knew Jamie didn’t kill either LaKeisha or Angela; so why still want him dead?!
What the heck was up with the shoot out scene. WHO and WHY were those people there?! Unanswered questions and people...
Good to see Two-Bit and Spanky safe in lockdown.
I hate that Ghost offed Terry Silver. That was his mistake in this tragic circle. He should’ve let Tasha ride off with him in the sunset. Their relationship wouldn’t have lasted. Tasha doesn’t want a safe life, she wants the ridiculousness of the street life. And Silver believed in justice for bad guys. He would’ve wanted her son in jail for his actions. Speaking of Tasha- her was laid!
James wanted better, Tasha didn’t. They grew apart. He did attempt to make it work more than once but she wasn’t having it. That’s that.
What in the world is a Sneak an Peek?! Obviously the entire point of a Peek is to find something. Why in the world would the judge even allow the feds (that office at least) to go after St. Patrick with their background and reputation with the man. After what he learned, after all the deaths of the office. That part seemed off.
James seeing all his ghosts, speaking with his Uncle Gabe, facing all his enemies one-by-one and seemingly winning, ending relationships, giving back to his old community, making his father proud, seemingly convincing Tariq to do the right thing...all were redemption acts for the life he lived (in my opinion).
Ghost! As bad of a guy as he is. He wouldn’t be at my house for Christmas. I STILL wanted him to WIN! To be lieutenant governor and take Albany! It’s too much like a happy ending and criminals, thugs, murderers, etc usually don’t get happy endings!
